Networks Membership is open to any individual or organisation that would like to mobilise for social justice, equality and anti-racism in Birmingham. It consists of a 'virtual' network of members, designed to build a critical mass of individuals enabling networking and collaboration, as well as a 'real world' network, which will form the basis of four Equality Action Zones that are being developed across Birmingham.
BWN offers support for organisations run by and/ or providing services to black women across the city. The network provides a number of services. These include training events relating to issues like funding, media access and capacity building; networking opportunities; and seeks to influence policy and practice of organisations that affect the lives of black women in the city.
Birmingham Voluntary Youth Sector Network
BVYSN brings together organisations that work with and for young people across Birmingham. The network is founded on the belief that young people and those working with young people have a key role to play in improving how youth provision is delivered and experienced across Birmingham. BVYSNs aim is to pursue this agenda and provide a space for engagement, critical analysis, learning, and reflection and to be a resource for all of its members and partners.
Diversity Practitioners Network
DPN attracts people for whom equality constitutes either the whole or part of their professional remit. The aim of the DPN is to create a space, with confidentiality guaranteed, for equality practitioners who often feel isolated to come together to: share information; identify and reflect upon good practice; discuss common barriers and problems; and draw upon each others expertise and experience.
