The Collective

logoweb.jpg Over the past 10 years brap has worked with hundreds of black and ethnic minority (BME) social businesses across the region.  Many told brap that they want to be connected to what is going on in their area. They want to collaborate with like-minded organisations and exchange ideas about how to help their local communities. They also want to influence policy decisions that are made about the people that they support.

In December 2008 a large group of BME social businesses in the West Midlands met and agreed that a network would help them achieve these aims. brap is now helping that network to flourish.

The Collective enables members to connect with organisations doing similar work; take joint action to help excluded groups; receive support and advice to make the most impact; access information about important decisions being made in the region and new opportunities. Diversity Practitioners Network

dpnlogojpeg 128 x 162.jpgThe DPN is for people who have equality either as a whole or part of their professional remit. The aim of the DPN is to create a space, with confidentiality guaranteed, for equality practitioners  who often feel isolated  to come together to share information; identify and reflect upon good practice; discuss common barriers and problems; and draw upon each others expertise and experience.
