From a nursery to a
secondary school, educational management has never been more demanding. Our
services are designed to offer vital assistance in important areas of equality
which will help reduce administration and bureaucracy, whilst simultaneously
ensuring that every single child
matters.
At brap we passionately
believe in fairness. We can help you develop learner-centred services that
embrace the full principles of equality through a range of ideas and schemes –
from regulation compliance to staff development, from community engagement to
pupil and student learning.
Training and Learning
As well as helping you meet
the required staff training on equality issues required for Ofsted and EHRC, we
will go beyond ‘ticking the boxes’ to ensure you can provide a genuinely confident,
supportive, welcoming educational environment.
Mentoring for Senior
Management
Our Leading to Equality programme is specifically designed to provide
head teachers with the most up-to-date skills needed to provide leadership on
equality and diversity. Confidence building and expanded consciousness of the
issues are all part of the programme.
Community Cohesion –
assessment and support
We can undertake a health
check of your school’s strategies and relationship with the wider community,
and provide any required solutions. This goes further than Ofsted inspections,
bringing in-depth, practical methods to help you implement best practice and
build a positive approach for all community groups.
Human Rights Toolkit
Our innovative toolkits – Your future: Human rights for young people
– are a fantastic resource that contain thought-provoking activities to help generate
discussion on difficult issues such as identity, discrimination and conflict,
whether with school age children or young adults. Available July 2009.
Resource Packs
Our brief guides on
developing equality schemes, single equality schemes and community cohesion are
a valuable resource to keep you right up to date.
Single Equality Scheme With a single equality scheme you can reduce administration at a stroke by unifying your race, gender and disability schemes. We will give comprehensive, bespoke advice on how to achieve it and make sure your scheme complies with the law.
