brap has launched a new regional programme for the third sector, funded by Capacity builders, and delivered in conjunction with Social Enterprise West Midlands (SEWM).

brap's programme is all about harnessing the skills, expertise and passion of socially driven organisations to grow and develop the sector from within, and responds directly to organisations across the third sector who have repeatedly voiced the value and benefit of peer support, as a way of enhancing the third sector, particularly in an economic downturn.

brap’s programme will make the exchange of knowledge, expertise and ideas between socially driven organisations possible and sustainable by:

• recruiting and training peer mentors
• effective outreach, to ensure that the opportunity to access a mentor is felt across the region
• matching mentors and mentees who will work together for a set period of time
• offering continual support and development opportunities to mentors and mentees
• creating and coordinating opportunities for people to get connected across the West Midlands, via unltd world
