Benefits for winners

The West Midlands Minority Ethnic Achievement Awards are a celebration of all that is best about our communities and the organisations that serve them.

The benefits of receiving an award go far beyond a trophy to display. Receiving an award is not only a recognition of success, dedication, and innovation, but it will also act as a catalyst for further development and achievement.

The awards aim to help organisations through:

  • recognition in local and national media
  • public relations and marketing opportunities
  • boosting morale
  • enhanced standing in the community
  • networking opportunities
  • creating new community champions

We will work with all award winners in the months following the ceremony to ensure both they and the community benefit from their success. The learning and best practice exhibited by the winners will be disseminated to other organisations through our networks and peer mentoring support programme. Winners will also receive advice on marketing, public relations and communication skills. Our aim is to create genuine ‘community champions’ – individuals empowered with the skills and know-how necessary to promote equality, fairness, and human rights.
