LOCAL AUTHORITY TENANTS
- women are 1.15 times more likely to be local authority tenants than the make-up of Birmingham might suggest
- at least 24.4% of tenants have some form of disability (9.4% have mobility issues and 3.2% have mental health issues)
- White British people appear overrepresented in tenancy figures given the demographics of Birmingham. It would be interesting to explore if this is due to a greater propensity to disclose ethnicity. Pakistani people are vastly underrepresented (comprising 4.7% of tenants, but 13.5% of the population)
- 23.5% of tenants are over 65
