Following the rollicking good debate we had in Hall Green last month, we're holding another discussion at Highfield Hall Community Centre on 23 March.
Hall Green can be a lovely place to live, with people from different backgrounds getting along well with each other. But is it also an area where separate communities tend to live separate lives?
Some have said that people living on opposite sides of the Stratford Road may as well be worlds apart. Could this lead to fear and mistrust between those different communities?
This event will create a safe and friendly environment to explore these issues further.
Participants will be invited to discuss whether a lack of interaction between communities matters, and - if so - whose responsibility it is to improve how we get on with each other. Is greater integration something best left to community organisations, churches, and mosques?
The event is being organised by brap (www.brap.org.uk) and Near Neighbours (http://www.cuf.org.uk/near-neighbours).
This is a free event, open to anyone who lives, works, or visits hall green on a regular basis.
